Court Ordered Programs, Inc. (COPi) and their school site program provider, Court Ordered Classes (COC), provide Domestic Violence, Family Violence, Intimate Partner Violence and Batterer Intervention Programs (collectively “Programs”) that are part of a Coordinated Community Response Model which partners with the courts and probation departments to provide a key opportunity to change an offender’s thoughts, feelings and behaviors in regard to domestic abuse.
All Officers, Court Officials, DCFS Social Workers, Pretrial Reps, Judges and other Court Officials may obtain a Supervisory or "Officer" Account to monitor those registrants that have been assigned to them from enrollment to completion of the program. COPi and COC provide Quarterly progress notes with backend Supervisory Account access of defendant monitoring for officers, DCFS, or court officials with immediate electronic access or can be manually sent to the probation officer (or Court) and only three absences are allowed before referring the probationer back to the referring agency for termination. (b)Program Facilitation Program facilitators must also complete a 48-hour basic training, followed by 104 hours of internship and thereafter 24-hours of annual training with a minimum of eight hours in domestic violence issues. All training and supervision are to be conducted by an “experienced facilitator” preferably the Clinical Director. The 48-hour training must consist of the following subjects: Basic domestic violence knowledge which focuses on victim safety and the role of domestic violence shelters in a community-coordinated response; Multicultural, cross-cultural, and multiethnic diversity and domestic violence; Substance abuse and domestic violence; Intakes and assessments, group facilitation techniques; DV law and ethics;
These "live WebCasted group meetings" adhere to and surpass all State standards and laws.
